Marilyn Monroe born Norma Jeane Mortenson was an American actress, model, and singer. She was famous for playing Blonde Bombshell characters and was considered a sex symbol from the 1950s to 1960s. Early Life:

Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jean Mortenson on 1 June 1926 at Los Angeles General Hospital in Los Angeles. Her mother was Gladys Pearl Baker. Her mother married many times. In 2022, DNA testing proved that she was the daughter of Charles Stanley Gifford. Stanley was the colleague of her mother and she had affair with him in 1925.

Glady placed her daughter with foster parents  Albert and Ida Bolender in the rural town of Hawthorne. In 1993, her mother bought a small home in Hollywood. Monrow moved with her at the age of seven. In 1935, she moved to an orphanage in Los Angeles.  Her mother’s friend Grace Goddard took her responsibility.

Monroe found a permanent home in September 1938, when she began to live with Grace’s aunt Ana Lower in the district of Sawtelle.

Education And First Marriage:

She was enrolled at Emerson Junior High School and went to weekly Christian services. She excelled in writing and wrote in a newspaper of school. She was a mediocre student. In 1941 she returned to her mother’s and started living in Van Nuys. She began attending Van Nuys High School. She married a neighbor’s son, a factor worker James Dougherty in 1942 and dropped out of school.

Personal Life:

After her first divorce in  1946, she met Joe DiMaggio in 1952. They both started dating and tied the knot as husband and wife in 1954 at City Hall San Francisco. But they divorced the following year. Marilyn met Arthur Miller for the first time in  1950 on the set of As Young As You Feel. She married him in June 1956. But the marriage started deteriorating. Monroe started to take overdoses of drugs. Other than marriages she dated many others including Elia Kazan, Milton Berle, Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, and Jerry Lewis.

In late 1994, she met a photographer David Conover. Monroe started modeling for Conover and his friend. She signed a contract with the Blue Book Model Agency in August 1945. Bu early 1946 she had appeared on more than 33 magazine covers.

Monroe signed a contract with an acting agency in June 1946. Monroe spent her six months at Fox learning acting, singing, and dancing, and observing the film-making process. She made her debut in the movie Dangerous years in 1947. She received much recognition for her role in All About Eve.
