Early Life:

Elyse Villani was born in Perth, Western Australia, on October 10, 1989. She grew up in a supportive and sports-oriented family, where her love for cricket began to flourish. From a young age, Elyse had a natural talent for the game and dedicated herself to honing her skills.


Elyse started her career in domestic cricket for Victoria. She played for the under-21 Australian team in 2008. Her team won from the senior Australian team in January 2008 in a match. Villani had significant contributions in the game, and she scored 85 runs from 78 balls, then came within six runs of defeating them again in October 2008. Villani’s name was included among the six under-21 teams to be named in Australia’s 30-player preliminary team for the 2009 Women’s Cricket World Cup, but unfortunately, she was not in the final team for the tournament.

Villani started her career in international cricket for Australia in 2009 in a Women’s Twenty20 International against New Zealand. In October 2018, she was on the list of Australia’s squad for the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies.
