Erin Alyse Osborne is an Australian cricketer, Cricket coach, and commentator. She had played 59 Twenty-20 Internationals, 60 One Day Internationals, and 2 Test matches representing Australia. Osborne played as all rounder and was a right-handed batter and right-arm off-break bowler. Erin made her International debut in 2009 but could not maintain her position in the Australian team as two of the best all-rounder. Shelley Nitschke and Lisa Sthalekar were already present in the team and were the best at that time.
Erin was a member of the Australian team for the 2009 World Twenty20 in England but did not play any match. Australia stayed in England for the series. Osborne was dropped because she took no wickets in the first two ODIs and was required to bowl less than half of her overs. She was also not selected to play for the one-off Test.
Osborne’s participation in the Rose Bowl series was restricted due to the presence of Sthalekar and Nitschke in the team. As a result, she needed more opportunities to represent her skills. She featured in six of the eight One Day Internationals (ODIs) throughout the series, but her bowling opportunities were scarce as she bowled less than half of the total overs. Despite the limited chances, Osborne claimed five wickets at an average of 32.20.
