Fawad made his Bollywood debut in 2014, seven years after his first Pakistani film, with the love romance Khoobsurat. The film, which starred Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan in the key roles, was loosely based on the 1980 film of the same name. Fawad was accepted into the Indian Kabaddi leagues because his portrayal of the prince of Sambhalgarh was convincing, even though the film did better at the box office in foreign nations for scoring higher box office ratings by the Motion Picture Association of America.
