 Mr. Asad Mahmood is a prominent political figure hailing from Pakistan, known for his contributions to the country’s political landscape. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018 and currently holds the esteemed position of Federal Minister for Communications. Mr. Asad Mahmood was born in the town of Abdul Khel in Pakistan. Career and Political Journey of Asad Mahmood:

Mr. Asad Mahmood’s professional career primarily revolves around teaching. He has served as a teacher, contributing to the education sector in Pakistan. While his early career focused on teaching, his journey into active politics began when he joined the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), a coalition of religious parties, and became the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).

In the 2018 general elections, Mr. Mahmood contested and emerged victorious from the NA-37 Tank constituency, securing a seat in the National Assembly for the first time. However, before this, he had contested the NA-25 Tank seat during the 2013 general elections, but unfortunately, he did not win the seat at that time.

Mr. Mahmood took a bold step by even requesting the National Assembly speaker to provide Mr. Gandapur with a microphone so that he could make his resignation announcement.

Maulana Asad Mahmood, a federal minister and leader of the JUIF party in the National Assembly, firmly advocates for the removal of Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, from national politics. He asserts that the National Assembly speaker must take action in accordance with the Constitution and the law, once the Pakistani courts and the Election Commission have issued their findings against Imran Khan. According to Mr. Mahmood, Imran Khan was imposed on the nation as part of an international plan, and he emphatically states that Imran Khan will never be allowed to lead the nation again.

Imran is criticized by Asad Mehmood for adopting “dual standards.”:

According to Maulana Asad Mehmood, Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had enlisted the cooperation of foreign agencies to close the gap with the United States (US). In an effort to win over Washington, PTI hired Praia Consultants LLC on February 21 of this year for a six-month contract.

In his speech to the joint session of parliament, he claimed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had attempted to create a narrative that was critical of the US establishment by waving an alleged cipher. According to the minister, the former prime minister attempted to do this to create the impression that his administration was being overthrown in an illegitimate manner.

As Zalmay Khalilzad, Christina Lamb, and Brad Sherman tweeted in support of Imran Khan, claiming the former prime minister had been working on “foreign agenda for a long time in the country,” Maulana Asad claimed that the false anti-US narrative had been exposed.
