Actress, singer, and model Shruti Haasan is from India. She began her acting career in 2009 with the Bollywood movie “Luck.” But it was for her roles in South Indian films that she received significant fame and reputation. She established herself as a versatile and brilliant actress by appearing in a number of Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films.

Personal life:

Her mother is of Maharashtrian and Rajput descent, while her father, Kamal Haasan, is a well-known actor in the film industry.

In addition to being an actor and a lawyer, her uncle Charuhasan is also an actress. Her cousin sisters Anu Hasan and Suhasini are both actors in Indian-Southern films. The well-known actor Mani Ratnam is wed to Suhasini.

The popular South Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia is one of her best friends.

Shruti Haasan Education:

She graduated from primary school in Chennai, came to Mumbai for college, and enrolled in St. Andrew’s College, where she earned a degree in psychology.

Because of her father’s mention in an Ashwaha Theatre Play, she performed in some theatre during her school years as a young artist.

She went by the fictitious name “Pooja Ramachandran” in school since she didn’t want to live the life of a star child and didn’t want to divulge her true identity. After moving to the US for music education, she enrolled in lessons at the Hollywood Music School in California. Once her course was complete, she returned to Chennai, where she had previously lived. Additionally, a proficient dancer and master of Indian classical music.

Career:

She began her career in the film industry at the age of 6 as a playback singer in the 1997 film Chachi 420, singing the song Chupadi Chupadi Chaachi.

After a lengthy absence, she made a comedic appearance in the 2008 Tamil film Saroja, after which she received a Bollywood film offer.

Her childhood friend Imran Khan recommended her name to the director of the Bollywood debut film Luck (2009), however the film’s viewers criticised her for giving an improper performance.

Shruti Haasan Acting Debut:

She made her acting debut in the Telugu movie Anaganaga O Dheerudu in 2011, after which she starred in the films Oh My Friend (2011), Yevadu (2014), Balupu (2013), Katamarayudu (2017), and Krack in 2020.

She made her film acting debut in Hey Ram (2000) as a young actress under the direction of her father Kamal Haasan, which was based on the real-life murder of Mahatma Gandhi.

A science fiction and martial arts film starring Suriya and based on the Bodhidharma gene figure is called 7aum Arivu (2011).

Shruti also worked on a lot of Tamil-language films, including Si3 (2017), Poojai (2014), 3 (2012), and Puli (2015).

She has worked on a few short films, such as “Devi,” which featured Kajol, Neha Dhupia, and Neena Kulkarni.

She also signed on for Bollywood projects and appeared in numerous highly regarded films, including Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013), Gabbar Is Back (2015), and Behen Hogi Teri (2017).

Shruti also performed some songs for various movies, including “Kannazhaga Kaalazhaga” for “3,” “Jogania” for “Tevar,” and “Dappava Kizhichaan” for “LKG.” 

She also had an appearance in the upcoming American action drama “Treadstone” as Nira Patel.

Controversy:

In 2014, Tamannaah Bhatia, an actress, and Shruti were guests at a party in Chennai. In front of the guests and the public, they hugged and kissed one another without feeling embarrassed. 

She became so angry and disappointed because someone had secretly taken a photo of her singing during the Yevadu movie production in 2014 that she filed a complaint against the producers.

When a stranger followed Shruti to her Mumbai flat and started to attack her, she had a major problem. However, she quickly slammed the door and, strangely, she managed to stifle the attacker’s hand in her door, gravely hurting him. This occurrence took place in 2013.

Music Composing:

After much rumour, Shruti Haasan’s position as music director for the upcoming Tamil film Unnaipol Oruvan was officially announced. Her father Kamal Haasan, who is also the film’s co-producer under Rajkamal International, will star in the lead role. The successful Hindi film, A Wednesday!, which the multilingual is a remake of, has a completely different soundtrack from the original.

Shruti Haasan succeeded in achieving a career as a playback singer in along with acting. She is a trained musician. Shruti has contributed her voice to a number of songs in many languages, such as Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. 

She also sang a few item songs in Bollywood movies, including “Madamiyan” from Tevar with Arjun Kapoor and “Rehnuma” from Rocky Handsome with John Abraham.

Own production house: 

Shruti Haasan has opened her production company, Isidro, which will concentrate on contemporary short films, digital films, musicals, and multimedia-based entertainment.

Shruti Haasan’s Relationships: 

Dhanush the actor was supposedly linked to Shruti Hassan when they both appeared in a movie directed by his wife Aishwarya Rajnikanth. This supposedly caused his marriage to fall apart. The actress has made it abundantly clear that she won’t jeopardise a friendship for such baseless rumours.

Filmfare Award:

The Filmfare Awards South for “Best Female Debut” in 2012 was one of several honours she has received for her exceptional acting abilities as a lead actress in South Indian cinema.

Naga Chaitanya:

There have been rumours that Shruti and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ex-husband Naga Chaitanya were engaged and planned to be married. They actually got in touch in 2013 through a mutual buddy. They dated after soon becoming great friends. Because of their purported breakup, the fans were saddened. When the two stars and Akshara Hassan turned up for an event, their romance allegedly came to an end. 

Suresh Raina:

Rumour has it that Shruti and Suresh connected immediately after meeting through a friend. The moment Shruti started accompanying him to his IPL matches, Suresh dubbed her his “lucky mascot.” However, they made an effort to keep it quiet and, after remaining silent for a while, later refuted the suspicions of an affair. 

Michael Corsale:

Shruti has mostly been in the headlines due to her relationship with a Londoner named Michael Corsale. Although the actress has never openly admitted to dating the actor from London, she has never shied away from posting pictures of the two on social media. They developed serious romantic aspirations, and while Shruti alternated between India and Los Angeles, Michael was observed seeing his ex-girlfriend. 

Santanu Hazarika:

Recent media attention has focused on Shruti Haasan’s relationship with her artist partner, Santanu Hazarika. With her lover Santanu Hazarika, Shruti Hasan recently flew to Guwahati, Assam, to celebrate the Rongali Bihu by taking part in a Bihu event. The duo has drawn attention to themselves and their relationship as a result of their numerous public appearances together. On the eve of her birthday, Shruti Haasan was spotted strolling hand in hand with her boyfriend, Santanu Hazarika. He is one of the founders of the Gauhati Art Project, a programme to establish a creative community.
