Early Life:

Tom Hanks was born on 9 July 1956 in Concord, California to a hospital worker Janet Marylyn and Bud Hanks His mother belonged to Portuguese family and his father was of American Ancestry.  He is the distant cousin of President Ibraham Lincoln. His parents got separated in 1960. He and his 2 sisters went up with their father.

Hanks’s religious history was Catholic and Mormon.

Early Education:

Tom Hanks was unpopular with students and teachers in school. He was terribly a shy guy. Hank acted in school plays while attending Skyline High School in Oakland, California. Hanks studied theater at Chabot College in Hayward, California. He was transferred to California State University after 2 years. He spent time seeing Brecht, Tennessee Williams, and Ibsen.

Relationship:

Hanks married American actress Samantha Lewes in 1978. They had a son and a daughter. They got separated in 1987. Lewes died due to bone cancer in 2002 at the age of 44.

In 1981, Tom Hanks met actress Rita Wilson on the set of the TV comedy Bosom Buddies. Hanks and Wilson married in 1988 and have two sons. Hanks lives with his family in Los Angeles, California.
